Truth Coffee Roasting

Founder David Donde turned a Victorian-era warehouse on Buitenkant Street into a working roastery wrapped in a floor-to-ceiling steampunk fit-out — brass, pipework and salvaged machinery around the hulking vintage roaster at its centre. International press has repeatedly named it among the best coffee shops in the world.

The theatre never gets in the way of the coffee: beans are sourced obsessively, roasted on site, and pulled by baristas who train here before they pour anywhere else.
