The Wren Design

Wendren Setzer founded The Wren Design in 2008 after spotting the bold graphics on a truckload of cement bags and wondering what else the material could become. The answer became a whole studio practice.

Reclaimed paper, cement sacks and coffee bags are fused to cotton with a water-resistant finish — the studio calls it ProtectPaper — and sewn into laptop bags, slings and wallets, made and sold from a studio-shop on Muizenberg's Main Road.
