Pedersen + Lennard

Industrial designers Luke Pedersen and James Lennard started making furniture together in a Woodstock back room in 2008 and coined the term 'Afro-Scandi' for their clean, functional aesthetic.

They design and manufacture everything under one roof at a solar-powered Maitland factory — solid oak and powder-coated steel furniture, lighting and homeware — with a retail showroom in De Waterkant and a Johannesburg store opening in 2026.
